Planning the trip

 I decided to take this specific trip to Los Angeles as out of all the travels I have done with my family, LA has to be the best place where I never get bored no matter how many times I visit. The city is so vibrant and energetic that there are many activities to do and not to mention the new activities, restaurants, and main attractions that this city continues to improve so that it can attract recurring travelers. During the summer months, LA’s weather is perfect, where it is not too hot and crowded like Europe, and for me, going to a beach in the summer is a must, otherwise I can’t consider it a proper vacation. LA, located on the West Coast of the USA, has many beaches with huge waves and the water is freezing.Therefore, it was an easy decision to choose LA as an ideal trip for my summer vacation.

Knowing that the first leg of the trip, which is the flight from Bahrain to Dubai, was in the early morning, I preadjusted my sleep by not sleeping that night, so that I could  fall asleep straight away when we board the flight from Dubai to LA which was at 8:50 AM, knowing that I am a bad sleeper on planes as I barely can sleep on airplanes. In the Bahrain airport, where it was very quiet with only a few passengers around, I had a quick bite at KFC, one of my favorite eateries at the airport, to give me some energy and to get ready for the layover flight to Dubai,we left Bahrain at 3:50 AM and arrived at Dubai Airport at around 6 AM. The sun just started to rise when we landed in Dubai, and I kept myself distracted by heading to the Emirates lounge to have a heavy breakfast to keep myself full for the flight. I love Dubai Airport as it is huge with a lot of passengers walking around from all over the world. We had about one hour before we boarded our flight to LA, so I decided to walk around the duty free and look around the technology department store because I love to look at the new tech items for sale. I found an interesting book which I bought to read during the flight.

All your supporting arguments must be communicated with simplicity and charm. And in such a way that the reader will read on. (After all, that’s a reader’s job: to read, isn’t it?) And by the time your readers have reached this point in the finished copy, you will have convinced them that you not only respect their intelligence, but you also understand their needs as consumers.Souvenirs from the Dubai airport

My experience of the plane to America was on Emirates Airline. It was a long sixteen hour flight on the legendary double decker A380. I have to admit this type of airplane is amazing as the size of it compared to the other airplanes is massive. It clearly stands out from the other airplanes you see at the airports because of its double decker and long wings. The Emirates cabin crew made it a wonderful experience and provided the passengers  with all the things I needed to have a safe and comfortable flight.

During the flight I was exhausted and I truly recommend my audience to use the equipment they give you as it makes you feel like you’re at home, they provide you with a toothbrush and toothpaste, pajamas and cream. Even though I slept most of the flight I was still able to watch my Netflix series which passed the time really fast, read a bit from my book and ate their delicious five star meals. I truly recommend doing this trick of downloading a series for you to keep yourself entertained for most of the flight to watch something you truly desire. The A380 really makes the sixteen  hour flight much more relaxing as they have lounges on the plane where you can sit and enjoy a small meal with your favorite drink. 

My family and I finally first stepped foot in LAX where we went through security and completed passport control and made sure we collected all our luggage and didn’t leave anything behind in the airplane. As people might be wondering whether to rent a car for the whole trip or not, based on my experience, I highly recommend renting one as you are able to use it anytime you want and it saves you a lot of money instead of renting an Uber. LA is a big city with many attractions that require a car to get to. However, I have to warn you as the traffic can get pretty crazy during rush hour. I recommend renting a car directly from the airport and for a family, an SUV is highly recommended. That is what we did, we got our rental car, loaded the luggage into  it and were ready to begin our LA adventure.

I stayed in the Beverly Hills Hotel located on Sunset Boulevard in the center of Beverly Hills. The Guest Service staff were wonderful and attentive at check in because they knew that we had arrived from a sixteen hour flight and provided us with a swift check in. They were very friendly to my family, assisted us with the luggage and then took us to our lovely room which had a view of the beautiful city. I recommend this hotel for whoever comes to Los Angeles as it has such an amazing luxury experience and the location is perfect. The only negative thing about the hotel is the small pool they have, which I guess is more for adults than teenagers. Other than that, the lobby is beautifully placed facing the garden and pool area. The hotel has a big garden where the guests can walk around and enjoy the beautiful trees, plants, and flowers. I have to admit that the palm trees of LA are really nice to see.
